If you found the perfect domain name only to realize it has already been registered don’t despair, just be next in line.
What is Domain Backordering?
Sometimes when you think up the perfect domain name then do a domain search only to find it is already taken. You may still be able to pick up that domain on backorder. With domain backordering you’ll be next in line to purchase that domain when it becomes available.
Someone else has it, but you want it. Let's fix this!
Domains Last, Owner's Don't
Every year millions of new domains are registered. Many of those are never used and eventually expire making them available for registration by a new owner. That’s when it is time to strike. Backordering works for .com, .co, .info, .org, .net, .me, .mobi, .us or .biz addresses.
Go For First
There’s a good chance if someone thought up a domain before you, someone else may have thought of it as well. If someone else back-orders the domain you’ll be notified. You’ll then have the option to bid on the domain in an auction or simply pass it up.
Backorder Credits Remain
If someone else had their eye on a domain name you wanted and you either lost it in auction or passed on the auction, don’t worry. Your backorder credits are still good. Domain backorder credits don’t expire until you either buy the domain or win at auction.
